It seems to me like "Yes we Can" was only to elect a President of our liking. A new power that was actually posted up there by the people. But what happen now? We elected him but now most of the people that elected him have forgotten about politics. I talked to many of the people that were there in the front lines to elect him and now don't even know were his at in the world, what he's doing for the world, or what he's doing for the country. I seriously thought that this was the turn when young voters not only stood in the line to have their voice heard but would keep their voice up and keep shouting at the government for more change.
But what i see now is a repeat of every other time. We leave it now for the people we elected to do the job for us. Sound like outsourcing don't you think. . .
I'm not gonna preach if I don't do it myself. I try to listen to the news on the radio. Follow the news on the internet or watch little segments on TV. You'll never get the truth from one source but if you look at different sources you'll then pick up the truths here and there. Takes 15 min while in traffic to listen, 15 min reading google news for the top stories, and like 10 min of mindless watching on the tv to get the info of the day. Why not do it?

You failed to mention that the president is constantly sending messages to the people, things we should take advantage and things to be wary about but due to our mindless sources of communication we are failing to get the message, the news much rather talk about “Dancing with the Stars’ rather that expand on the political frontier……
ReplyDeleteIts true, we have always been like that, we scream and shout but soon we get tired and assume others can do it....I guess somehow we think "well its just one person less" but we are lazyyyyy!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteJust because we have gotten what we want does not mean that we have reached our full potential in what we can do!!
